Keiichi Tahara: Photosynthesis with Min Tanaka
September 9 (Saturday) - December 24 (Sunday), 2017

From the 1970s, the photographer Keiichi Tahara made the exploration of light a focus of dedicated effort. Until his passing due to illness this past June, Tahara had been making preparations for this exhibition which presents work created during a special collaboration with the dancer Min Tanaka from 1978 to 1980 and in 2016. It is the first time this work is being shown in Japan within an exhibition format.

+ Peter Burr Art & Animation / A Screening of Works & Lecture by Peter Burr
November 11 (Saturday), 2017

There is beauty, as well as something scary in the computer animations and installations of Brooklyn-born Peter Burr who has attracted growing attention for work featured at SFMoMA, Documenta, White Chapel Gallery and other spaces. Viewers fly through dense landscapes that blink, shimmer and appear to breathe; maze-like worlds that seem never ending and forever changing, where concepts such as morality, heroes and villains do not exist. As Japan's first introduction to Peter Burr, five representative pieces will be presented. The artist will give a lecture and a post-screening talk.
